In 2007, the globe-trotting photographer Mikael Coville-Andersen launched his photo blog Copenhagen Cycle Chic with a picture of an attractive Danish cyclist on a street corner. Since then, more than 50 Cycle Chic blogs have popped up, everywhere from Berlin to Bogotá, turning the European-style roadster and its well-dressed riders into new icons of urban elegance.

When I lived in Copenhagen I used to bicycle everywhere! It was just the easiest way to come around. After moving to Oslo, Norway I don’t use my bike that much :-/ maybe it has to do with all the up and down hills :-) or just that the roads are not suitable for cyclists here like in Copenhagen. It’s getting better though, thank god.

“Whenever I see an adult on a bicycle, I have hope for the human race.”

Fjellby is a Norwegian interior and design blog (est 2009) written by teacher Lise Greni Breen and the Woodworker Robert which mostly likes to work in the background. With a design enthusiast and a craftsman under the same roof, they have a lot of ideas and projects. Some of them are for sale in the Fjellbyshop, a small concept store offering their handmade products.

This is what they have to say about the name, Fjellby and their vision:

About the name: We seek inspiration both from the mountains (norwegian: FJELL) and the city (norwegian: BY). We grew up in a small mountain village, but now we live in Trondheim – one of the biggest cities in Norway. As much as we find inspiration in the raw nordic nature, we always have the urge to visit urban cities all over the world. Fjellby followers are always welcome to join our trips (online), whether it’s up to the mountains or to a inspirational city. This mixture of raw nature and a more urban aspect is the reason for the brand name FJELLBY!

Vision: City meets nature! This slogan reflects everything we do, whether it is product development, branding, blogging or interior work for others. We seek to inspire others and develop our brand also in the future!

Even though Absolut might not be my favorite Vodka brand I still collect their bottles when they come out with a cool limited bottle or case for it.

Now there is a new one coming soon to tax-free stores around the world: Absolut Denim.
Designed by denim guru Loren Cronk in Brooklyn. Can’t wait to add it to my Absolut collection :-)

…The sleek indigo denim skin is made to keep the vodka at an ideal chilled temperature for a couple of hours. It’s an essential solution for every modern home bar, the perfect addition to any garden party, rooftop gathering or deluxe picnic. After all, what could be better than a time-less original? Two timeless originals! Dress your ABSOLUT bottle in style while adding function.
